Lamborghini Huracán STO

Super Trofeo Omologata

The Lamborghini Huracán STO, which stands for Super Trofeo Omologat, was first presented by the Italian sports car manufacturer in November 2020 as the strongest and most brutal member of the Huracán family. The street-legal sports car provides numbers normally found on the track, thanks to the revised design which optimizes airflow and performance. In case a car collector is looking for a track-focused city cruiser with tremendous power under its hood, stop looking. You have a match and it’s called Lamborghini Huracán STO. The roaring V10 engine turns heads not only when driving around the city, but also on the race track.

Performance

The new model takes many details directly from motorsport and is directly inspired by the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo and Huracán GT3 Evo race cars. With its naturally aspirated V10 engine, 640 hp and 565 Nm at 6,500 rpm, the rear-wheel-drive Huracán STO delivers astonishing acceleration. It can sprint from 0 to 100 in three seconds, and from 0 to 200 in nine seconds. The top speed of the Lamborghini Huracán STO is 310 km/h.

Its aerodynamic efficiency, use of lightweight materials, easy steering and first-class braking performance further ensure that the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Omologata feels like a race car. In addition, the Lamborghini Huracán STO has an extremely lightweight windshield and has been fitted with magnesium rims to save further weight. Since 75% of the chassis consists of carbon fiber, the STO has a kerb weight is 1,339 kilo, making it 43 kilograms lighter than the Huracán Performante.

New CCM-R Brake Discs

For precise handling, the STO is only offered with rear-axle steering. As a result, the Italians had to also improve the brakes of the Huracán STO. In collaboration with specialists at Brembo, Lamborghini developed the new CCM-R brake discs which offer up to 25% better braking performance than normal carbon-ceramic discs.

Interior

The interior of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Omologata reflects its racing DNA. Above all, the extensive use of carbon fiber elements throughout the cockpit gives the impression that you are sitting in a real race car. Full carbon fiber sports seats, an Alcantara interior with Lamborghini’s carbon skin, carbon fiber floor mats and the ultra-light full carbon fiber door panels with a door lock as an opener underscore the Huracán STO’s racing intention. Even the roll bar is made of a particularly lightweight titanium alloy.

Price & Collection Potential

As mentioned earlier, the new model is the most radical street-legal Huracán. Lamborghini’s motorsport division Squadra Corse did a great job in developing the STO, but of course, the R&D has its price. Collectors need to dig deep into their pockets since the starting price of the Lamborghini Huracán STO is at around EUR 300,000 up to EUR 450,000 depending on the specifications. The car is not officially limited but is rare to spot on the streets due to its price.

Summary

Brand:

Lamborghini

Model:

Huracán STO (Super Trofeo Omologata)

Price:

The starting price is set at EUR 300,000 up to 450,000 depending on the specifications. Due to current very low deliveries, the prices of the STO on the secondary market are slightly higher (around EUR 10,000 – 20,000).

Limitation:

No official limitation

When to drive:

The Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Omologata has its origin in motor racing. Although the car is street-legal, we would suggest bringing the car on a race track to push it to its limits. No street anywhere in the world could do the STO justice.

What we love about the car:

The front hood, fenders and front shock absorber consist of just one carbon-fiber component, which reminds us of the Lamborghini Miura.
