Hypercar Apollo Intensa Emozione

What’s more beautiful than a car like the Apollo Intensa Emozione? Its body is perfectly shaped with a contour that reminds me of a racing car, like the McLaren P1 – but a meaner version of it. Well done to the designer of this beauty, Mr. Joe Wong!

The Apollo Intensa Emozione (a.k.a Apollo IE) is made almost entirely out of carbon fiber, only very few components are made from high-strength steel, aluminum or titanium. The German-based company, which has since been bought out and re-branded by Hong Kong businessman Norman Choi, claims the weight of the car is as much as 1,250 kg.

The power of this hypercar comes from a 6.3-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. Malicious gossip has it that the engine comes from the Ferrari F150 project that was reworked by Autotecnica Motori and HWA AG to deliver the performance of 791PS and 760Nm. For those who don’t know, HWA was responsible for the DTM program for Mercedes-Benz and has a lot of experience in building ultra-speed cars as they did years ago with the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR – real speed junkies know what I am talking about. Apollo claims the IE needs 2.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 334 km/h.

The car manufacturer has said that they will build only ten 2-door coupés and that they are targeting a selling price of USD 2.6 million each.

I can’t wait to see my first Apollo Intensa Emozione on the streets! By the way, as you may have guessed, the name means “intense emotion” in Italian and I am sure we will soon understand why.

Summary

Brand:

Apollo

Model:

Intensa Emozione

Price:

Approximately USD 2.6 million

When to drive:

If you own one of these, it probably isn’t the only car on display in your garage. We think the car fits best when you want to show off around other super exclusive car owners at car or racing events – maybe around the streets of Monaco…

What we love about the car:

The fact that this car has a street license is insane. We love the power of this beast. Only 2.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h is insane!
